Lloyd Honeycutt

Lloyd (Budge) Honeycutt, 85, of Unicoi, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at his home in Unicoi following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a son of the late Reverend Joe Honeycutt and Ruth Honeycutt.

Lloyd retired from Magnavox in 1976. He was known in his community for his passionate beekeeping and tomato gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Judy Honeycutt, in 2016; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Lloyd leaves behind to cherish his memory: three daughters, Debbie Peake and husband Bill of Erwin, Tina Bradley and husband Matt of Unicoi, and Ginger Cunningham and husband Alan of Taylorsville, NC; one sister, Grace Pate of Unicoi; twelve grandchildren, Brandon, Anna, Gabriel, Garrett, Joseph, Graham, Sarah, Grace, Abigail, Andrew, Alyson, and Audrey; four great-grandchildren; brother-in -law, Bruce Randolph and wife Peggy of Unicoi; special friends, Juanita Broyles, Beth McPherson, Sherry Cockerham, and Terry Bailey.

The family will hold a private funeral service, officiated by Pastor Kevin Laws and Les Honeycutt. This service will be posted at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 3rd, 2020, on this page. It will remain active for 90 days.

If anyone would like to send a Hugs from Home note to the family, please call Morris-Baker Funeral Home to relay your message. A note will be attached to a balloon displayed at the time of service to represent your presence. Burial services will be private.
