Lloyd Walter Webb

June 18, 1931 — February 12, 2020

Lloyd Walter Webb, 88, of Johnson City, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

He was born on June 18, 1931, to the late Genio and Chloe Laws Webb in Green Mountain, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: his wife of fifty-two years, Peggy Sheets Webb, in April of 2010; two brothers, Leonard Laws Senior and Phil Webb; and one sister, Mary Helen Bryant.

He was a Christian man and a member of Union Church of Christ. He worked as a logger for several years and retired as a Truck Driver for Mountain Empire Oil Company. He was a gentle giant that was so loved by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memories are: one brother, Lonnie Webb; Nieces he treated as his children, Donna Webb and Beverly Bennett as well as nephew Joe Webb; special nephews, Leonard Laws Jr., Rick Laws, Pete Laws, and Tommy Gene Webb; nieces, Colleen Laws Cramer, Cathy Barr, and Renee Pons; namesake nephew, Justin Lloyd Holsclaw; special great nieces Becky Bennett and Kristy Bennett; several other great-great nieces and nephews; and his little dog, Bifford.

The family of Lloyd Webb will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2020, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. A committal service will be held the following day at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to gather at the graveside by 10:50 AM.
