Lois M. Jarrett

Lois Holt Jarrett, 78, of 2012 Sherwood Drive, Johnson City died Sunday, December 31, 2006 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Jarrett was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all those who knew her. She was a native of Watauga, TN and had lived in Georgia and Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late John Henry and Alcyone Caroline Tate Holt. Mrs. Jarrett was a homemaker and attended the Boones Creek Baptist church and had been very active in churches wherever she lived. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Fred Jarrett in 2003; one son, Dana Jarrett; one sister, Peggy Holt Anderson; two brothers, James B. Holt and Eugene Holt. Survivors include: two sons, Lynn M. Jarrett of Cleveland, TN and David E. Jarrett of Athens, GA; three daughters, Freda Lee Jones of Norcross, GA, Karen Ann Taylor of Athens, GA and Amy Sue Jarrett of Lawrenceville, GA; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Eloise Mabry of Waynesboro, VA ; one brother, Jerry D. Holt of Elizabethton, TN ; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Lois Holt Jarrett will be conducted at 1 PM Thursday, January 4, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Arnold 'Bud' Pate will officiate. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Jarrett and Jerry Holt. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 11AM to 1 PM Thursday prior to the service.
