?God loves you because you?re you. You?ve spent your whole life running and running, trying to catch up with something that has never been there for you. And all you?ve done is go farther and farther from the precious love that?s been waiting for you all this time.' Lois Smock, 74, of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Baltimore, Maryland, and a daughter of the late Gene Harris and Katherine ?Betty' Smock. Lois attended Loch Raven Senior High School in Baltimore. She had worked as both a book binder and a waitress before retiring. She attended Wolfe Catholic Church. Lois occasionally spent time helping to maintain community outreach projects, such as soup kitchens. She is survived by one son, Nicholas Renaldi; longtime friend and companion, Connie Blair and family; as well as loving friends Rita Carter, Scotty Johnson, and Melanie Ludtke. ?God wants you to cleanse your body and to cleanse your soul. He?ll help you go through the cleansing if only you?ll ask him.'
