Lonzo Dwain Stamper, 79, of Johnson City passed away Friday January 15, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center.He was a native of Carson, Iowa, and a son of the late, Bert S. and Carrie Hendrix Stamper. Mr. Stamper was a retired Foreman for the Bel Air Water Works in Bel Air, MD. Survivors include; his wife, Maude Scott Stamper; one daughter, Judy Stamper of Johnson City; three sons, Michael Stamper and his wife, Linda of Bel Air, MD, David Stamper and his wife, Michelle of Street, MD and Larry Stamper of Florida; two sisters, Elaine Greenberg of Bel Air and Norma Starr and her husband Sonny of Fallston, MD; two brothers, Richard Stamper and his wife, Elaine of Jonesborough and Gerald Stamper and his wife, Erlene of Ocala, Florida; seven Grandchildren, Aaron, Sarah, Kadie, Chad, Ryan, Jesse and Skylar; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the Morris-Baker South Chapel, Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 8:00 pm. Pastor Robert Alford will officiate. Burial services will be held on Thursday from the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be Sonny Starr, Jami Melani, David Stamper, Larry Stamper, Hack Arnett and Travis Marshall. The family and friends will proceed from the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 am to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
