Loraine Hodge Anderson

Loraine Hodge Anderson, age 85, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 10,2013. She had lived in Piney Flats all her life and was loved and respected by everyone she knew, especially at Piney Flats First Baptist Church, where she was a charter member. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her father, Edward Hodge, and mother, Mary Smalling Hodge Osborne; her stepfather, Leonard Osborne; a nephew, Wayne Hodge; her brother, sister-in-law, and nephew, Wendell, Evelyn, and Phil Hodge of Cleveland, GA; and her husband, Earl Anderson. Her survivors include a much-loved daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mack Bacon of Boones Creek, and her son, Tom, of Piney Flats. The family will receive friends Friday, December 13, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Piney Flats First Baptist Church. Dr. Allen Davis will be conducting the funeral service, which will follow at 8:00 PM. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday in the Edgefield Cemetery, Piney Flats. Rev. Frank Osborne will officiate. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Piney Flats First Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Cherry Street, Piney Flats, and TN 37686.
