God made a wonderful woman named Lorraine. No sweeter angel ever, than her. Now the Lord has taken her home to be loved and blessed for eternity. The Lord taught her how to love, laugh and make a home here on earth. Now he can use her skills in heaven, of which she has many. A sweeter angel no one has ever known. God bless you darling. Lorraine Payne Bolus, 74, of 2204 Nave Drive, Johnson City, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Butler, Tennessee, daughter of Pauline Bradley Tipton and the late Welzie Tipton. Lorraine was a medical insurance office manager for forty years. Survivors other than her mother include: her husband, Franklin R. 'Jack'? Bolus of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Jack and Kelly Bolus and Philip W. Bolus,Esq. all of Johnson City; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jack G. 'Pete'? Payne of Bowmantown, Darrell Lee and Betty Tipton of Telford, John Kenneth Tipton of Greeneville, TN, Welzie Vaughn and Teresa Tipton of Bristol, Va.; four sisters, Virginia Payne Clark of Johnson City, Jimmie Lou Payne Feekes of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Doris Jean Tipton Anderson of Waynesboro, GA, Linda K. Tipton of Telford; five grandchildren, Nicole Bolus Garland and her husband, Kenny of Camby, Indiana, Candice Shay Bolus, Jack Thomas Bolus, Carly Danielle Bolus and Claire Elizabeth Bolus all of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Dr. Michael D. 'Mickey'? Bolus and Dr. Jim Richter. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted on Monday , August 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Jack Bolus, Philip Bolus, Gerald Baskett, Jack 'Pete'? Payne, Darrell Tipton, Welzie Vaughn Tipton, John Bolus, Jr., John Bolus, Sr., Jim Powell, John Bradley and Jack Thomas Bolus. Honorary pallbearers will be: Stan Johnson, Kenny Garland, Mike Martin, Jack Bradley, John Tilman and Dr. Phillip Jones. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession by 12:30 p.m.
