Louise Helen Couch

Louise Collins Couch, age 81, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee a daughter of the late Roy Joseph Collins and Kate York Collins. Mrs. Couch was a member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church and retired from sales at Nettie Lee. She was preceded in death by one brother Bill Collins and one infant brother. She is survived by one son, Jerry Couch of Gray; two daughters, Judy Slemp and husband Michael of Johnson City, and Jan Keller and husband Joe of Limestone; one grandson, Rev. Matthew Slemp and wife Chelsea of Atlanta, GA; one granddaughter, Sherry Bowers of Daytona Beach, FL; one sister, Shirley Hurdt of Johnson City; and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, September 16, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Grace Free Will Baptist Church. A funeral service for Mrs. Louise Collins Couch will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Curtis Hurt, Rev. Matthew Slemp and Rev. Jackie Cole officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:30 am in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:15 am Friday morning. Pallbearers will be men of Grace Free Will Baptist Church. Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, 423-282-1521, is in charge of arrangements.
