Louise Higgins Sellars

Louise Higgins Sellars, 90, of 1615 Crystal Springs Drive, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2020.

An Erwin native, Mrs. Sellars had lived in Johnson City since 1963. Most folks will remember her from her twenty-six years as a receptionist at the Johnson City Eye Clinic.

She was also an active member of Central Baptist Church where she was a member of the Esther Sunday School class.

She loved to start the day with a good cup of coffee, and to spend her time gardening and baking for those she cared for.

Mrs. Sellars was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, E.C. Sellars, in 2008; her parents, Floyd and Rosetta Higgins; a sister, Ruth Clouse; brother, Ralph V. Higgins, as well as an infant brother, Paul Higgins.

Survivors include children, Douglas K. Sellars and wife Billie Farthing, and Perry E. Sellars, both of Johnson City; three nephews also survive.

A committal service will be held for Mrs. Sellars at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Evergreen Cemetery in Erwin. Family and friend are asked to gather at the Mausoleum Chapel by 10:50 AM.
