Louise Nancy Thompson

Louise N. Thompson, 86, of 515 Pardee Street, Johnson City, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Lakebridge Health Care Center. She was a native of Yancey County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Sam and Vista Troutman Street, SR. Louise was a homemaker and longtime member of the Keystone Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Thompson; two sons, Kenneth and Bobby Jack Thompson; three brothers, James, Bert and Sam Street, Jr.; three sisters, Jessie Jamison, Rebecca Jamerson and Gladys Douglas. Louise lived for her family. Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Geneva Thompson of Jonesborough; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Jim Norris and Patsy and Alfred Crum all of Johnson City; a sister, Viola Hyatt of Johnson City; seven grandchildren, David Crum, Timmy Scott, Kenny Scott, Scotty Thompson, Cindy Smith, Bobbie Jane Hill and Katrina Thompson; sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Rev. Bill Greer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Monte Vista Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:40 a.m. to leave in procession. Active pallbearers will be her nephews and honorary pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to thank the Lakebridge Health Care Center for the kindness shown to them.
