Lucy L. Waites

Mrs. Lucy L. Waites, age 52, of Jonesborough, passed away, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Waites was a native of Johnson City. She is the daughter of the late Ronda Rosenbaum and Geneva Presley Rosenbaum. In addition to her parents one brother, Howard Rosenbaum also preceded her in death. Mrs. Waites had a Bachelors Degree in social work. She was a member of Cherokee Mountain Baptist Church. Survivors include: her loving husband of eighteen years, Jerry Waites, Sr.; three sons, Joshua Wainscott, Daryl Wainscott and Jerry Waites, Jr.; four sisters, Geraldean Rosenbaum, Cookie Sailer, Nola Davis and Regina Rosenbaum; three brothers, Jimmy Rosenbaum, Roy Rosenbaum and Larry Rosenbaum; two grandchildren, Chassity Wainscott and Aaron Waites; four unnamed grandchildren; one great grandson, Chad Waites. The funeral service for Mrs. Lucy L. Waites will be conducted at 8 PM Saturday, February 25, 2012 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Monroe Willis and Brad Willis will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday in the Cherokee Mountain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Aaron Waites, Brandon Nelson, Lee Jennings, Ray Davis, Ronnie Bryant and Lynn Jennings. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 PM Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday prior to the service.
