Luke B. Scott

Mr. Luke B. Scott, age 71, of Jonesborough, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Scott was a native of Carter County who had lived most of his life in Washington County. He was the son of the late A.E. Scott and Onis Willis Scott. In addition to his parents his wife of thirty-seven years, Alice Stewart Scott; three sisters, Susie Calhoun, Virginia Peters and Doris Blackburn; three brothers, Lester, Wallace and Virgil Scott also preceded him in death. Mr. Scott was a Drywall Contractor. Survivors include three daughters, Tena M. Keys and her husband Mark, Lora Dean Flock and Patricia A. Scott; one son, Jeffery A. Scott; one sister, Maude Stamper; nine grandchildren, Allison Keys, Jonathon Scott, Jason Weeks, Justin Weeks, Brandon Scott, Sean Scott, Lora Weeks, Aaron Scott and Cayden Scott; four great grandchildren, Dillan Scott Alexia Scott, Landen Weeks and Cameron Weeks; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mr. Luke B. Scott will be conducted at 7 PM Sunday, March 3, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Mr. Paul Peer will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Monday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday prior to the service and other times at the residence of the sister Maude Stamper, 2519 Park Avenue, Johnson City, Tn. 37601.
