Lula Faye Carver

April 7, 1950 — February 2, 2019

Lula Faye ?Pansy' Sheets Carver was born in Johnson City, TN on April 7, 1950. She entered Heaven?s gates on February 2, 2019. Pansy?s faith carried her through life and all the trials and tribulations it had to offer. She gained her strength from the Lord. A loving mother, mamaw, sister and friend. Pansy spent many years living in the country, working side by side with her family on their farm. She showed tremendous strength and instilled these qualities in her children during long days spent in the tobacco and hay fields. She was a selfless, loving mother and mamaw who sacrificed everything for family. She had a passion for gardening, canning, and cooking. Many people knew her from Gage?s Market and the Buc Store in Boone?s Creek where she worked for many years. Pansy adored her grandchildren and spent countless hours loving them. She will be missed terribly by her family and friends, but leaves a legacy of love for all that knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Franklin Woods Community Hospital for always caring for our Mom with love and respect. Pansy was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Sylvia Hicks Sheets. She is survived by her son, Tim Carver; three daughters, Debra Barkley, Angela Hale, and Connie Carver; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Michael Mounts; a brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Mick Sheets; a sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Mike Casteel; a sister and brother-in-law, Pennie and Lonnie Watts; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. The Carver family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in the Dogwood Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in the Dogwood Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Vic Young. A committal service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends who wish to be part of the procession should arrive at Morris-Baker Funeral Home by 10:15 am. All others should gather at the cemetery by 10:50 am.
