Lydia Ruth Wright

July 21, 1961 — April 3, 2017

Lydia Ruth (Holt Craft) Wright, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Indian Path Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was 55 years old. Lydia was the eldest daughter of Jerry and Betty Holt. She was a graduate of Milligan College. She loved God, she loved life, was very well read, and was an amazing cook. Lydia was an amateur bird watcher and lover of all animals. She was also an avid supporter of the ASPCA. Lydia was preceded in death by her father. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Bill Wright; three children, Jessie Craft (Silvia), Wesley Craft, and Amanda Craft; two granddaughters, Julia and Vittoria; fur-baby, Lucy; two brothers, Dale Holt (Kristy) and Erik Holt (Danielle); one sister, Leeanna Holt Slone; six nieces; and five nephews. We would like to give special thanks to Lydia?s sister-in-law, Teri Wright, and very good friend, Pam Baldwin, for the love, friendship, and care that they gave to Lydia. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to the physicians and staff at Indian Path Medical Center. They went well above and beyond to provide excellent care for her as well as the family. Lydia considered many of them friends. The family of Lydia Ruth Wright will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm Sunday, April 9, 2017 in the Morris-Baker Oak Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 3 pm Sunday under the direction of Pastor Joe Barber and Dr. Wayne Emery.
