Lynda Mae Kious

Lynda Mae Kious, 79, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at her home.

A lifelong resident of east Tennessee, Lynda was born July 26, 1944, to the late Floyd and Olive Cozad.  

She was a lifelong devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also an avid gardener.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kious; and siblings, Joanne Crawford, Olan Cozad, F.A. Cozad, Russell Cozad, Carolyn Henderson, Ruthie Hollified, Eunice Owens, Eldon Cozad, and Bob Cozad.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, John Riddle; grandchildren, Elizabeth Oliver, LeeLand Riddle, and Destini Riddle; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Oliver and Kamyrn Oliver; and sisters, Patricia "Teeta" Jones and Patsy Blevins.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Those attending are asked to gather at the cemetery by 1:50 pm.
