Mable Ruth Arnold

Mrs. Mable Ruth Arnold, age 88, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, August 31, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Arnold was native of Memphis who had lived in Johnson City since 1997. She was the daughter of the late Joseph E. Sidler and Birdie Stroud Sidler. In addition to her parents, her husband, Alton Arnold, one daughter, Susan Kaplan; three sisters, Agnes Goff, Virginia Hartsfield and Betty Sidler; one brother, Clarence Sidler also preceded her in death. Mrs. Arnold was a homemaker and a member of the Cherokee Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, John Arnold and his wife Janice and Ken Arnold and his wife Diane; one daughter, Linda Linsk; one brother, Larry Sidler; seven grandchildren, Jess Arnold, Joe Arnold, Aaron Kaplan, Alex Kaplan, Jared Linsk, Ian Linsk and Austin Linsk; 'adopted'? son, Rick Ragan; niece, Brenda Jesse; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mable Ruth Arnold will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Robert Tate, Minister will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:15 AM Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
