Mack L. Caddell, 84, of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019, at Lakebridge Healthcare Center.
He was born in Alva, Kentucky, a son of the late James Ancill and Mary Dishon Caddell.
Mack joined the military after graduating from high school, serving in the army. After he was discharged, he worked as a barber at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D. C. for over 20 years.
He was an active member of the Johnson City Church of God. He was also a proud member of the NRA, and the Unaka Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Hatfield Caddell; four brothers, James Caddell, Kenneth Caddell, Damon Caddell, and Richard Caddell; and sisters, Mary L. Caddell and Wilma G. Caddell.
Survivors include two sisters, Lavada Stanfiel and her husband Jay, and Wanda Brummet and her husband Edward; his loving church family; and many friends and neighbours.
A special thanks is extended to the caring staff at Lakebridge.
A receiving of friends for Mack L. Caddell will be held from 5:00 pm to 6:30 PM on Monday, October 7, 2019, at the Johnson City Church of God, 1908 Indian Ridge Road, Johnson City, TN. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 PM, officiated by Reverend Bryant Collins. A committal service will be performed at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to gather at the cemetery gates by 9:50 AM to go in procession.
The men of the Johnson City Church of God will act as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson City Church of God.
