Maggie Ruth Markland

Maggie Ruth (Foister) Markland, age 90, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Maggie was born on September 19, 1929 to James Foister and Bessie (Green) Foister in Washington County, Tennessee.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 50 years, Elwood Markland; four sisters; and two brothers.
Maggie is survived by her daughters, Patty (and Steve) Fagan of Jonesborough, TN and Reta (and Mike) Godsey of Clearwater, FL; granddaughters, Kimberly (and Adam) Coffman of Limestone, TN and Alicia Fagan of Jonesborough; great-grandchildren, Hunter Coffman of Limestone and Arianna Perez of Jonesborough; and a great-greatgrandson, Oliver Coffman of Limestone.
Maggie’s family would like to thank the staff on floors 2300 and 7500 at the Johnson City Medical Center for their kindness and care.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Pastor Steve Davis. The graveside service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Please be at Morris-Baker by 12:45 p.m. to process to the cemetery.
