?I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.' 2 Timothy 4:7 Margaret Carolyn Fletcher, 72, Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Washington County, Virginia, and later moved to Johnson City, where she spent most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Andy Tom and Ollie Graybeal Rush. Margaret was a homemaker and dedicated to taking care of her family. She was a member of Spoon Gap Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler at Holiday Lanes until her health would not allow it. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: four brothers, Eugene ?Gene' Rush, Burley Rush, Clayton Rush, and Jerry Lee Rush; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Survivors include: her husband of 48 years, Conley Fletcher; son, Michael Fletcher; brother, Elmer Rush and his wife Jackie; four sisters, Glenna Maggie Gentry, Sharon Sexton and her husband Rick, Phyllis Carr and her husband Mark, and Mary Torbett and her husband Mike; granddaughter, Andrea Price; great-grandson, Fletcher Matthew Price; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family of Margaret Carolyn Fletcher will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Morris-Baker. Private visits may be made to the home at 821 Regency Drive, Johnson City, TN 37604. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM, July 12, 2018, officiated by Pastor Herbert Bailey, at Morris-Baker. A committal service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to gather at the graveside by 9:50 AM. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Gentry, Larry Gentry, Rick Sexton, Mike Torbett, Mark Carr, Larry Graybeal, Bobby Rhines and Harry Eanes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret?s honor to the National Cancer Society, P.O. Box 7262, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
