Margaret Ellen Frye, 79, 143 Spring Drive, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at her residence. Mrs.Frye was a native of Lee County,Va. who had lived in Johnson City since 1946. She was the daughter of the late Murph Bishop West and Clara Juanita Williams West. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frye was also preceded in death by her husband Lum Frye in 1969. Mrs. Frye was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: five daughters and two son-in-laws, Carol Pierce, of Johnson City; Linda Sells and her husband Thomas, of Sulphur Springs; Maxine Roper, of Elizabethton; Leitha Frye, of Johnson City and JoAnn Moffitt and her husband Mark, of Johnson City; two sisters, Helen Mead, of Fredricksburg,Va. and Jean Riddle, of Johnson City; two brothers, J.M.West, of Bluff City and Frank West, of Johnson City; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Caris Healthcare (Hospice) for quality care during Mrs. Frye last days. The funeral services for Margaret Ellen Frye will be conducted at 8:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2006 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Tim Evans will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the funeral chapel at 12:15 PM to go in procession. Active pallbearers will be: Mark Moffitt, Jerry Owens, John Miller, Randy Roper,Dewayne Whitehead and Brian Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be: Thomas Sells, Chris Sells, Mack McLemore, Steve McLemore, James Sells and Thomas Sells, Jr. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Monday prior to the service.
