Margaret Ellen Hancock

Margaret Ellen Hancock, 78, of Jonesborough, closed her eyes peacefully to wake in Gods New Heaven Sheltered in the Arms of God on Thursday morning, December 20, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Vivian, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Edwin P. Grafton and Elsie Lee Ouzts Hancock. Ms. Hancock was a teacher for eleven years in San Diego County and twenty-five years at Northside Elementary School. She attended Clark Street Baptist Church. Survivors include a special friend and caregiver, Martha Ann Hall, of Jonesborough, TN; one sister, Ann Tipton, of Johnson City; one nephew, Jonathan Tipton, of Johnson City; and one niece, Amy Courtner, of Connelly Springs, NC. It was Ms. Hancocks wishes to be cremated. Burial will take place at a later date in the Vivian Cemetery in Vivian, Louisiana. Morris '? Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 E.
