Margaret Estelle Calhoun

Margaret Scott Calhoun, age 68, of 1704 Lakeview Drive, Johnson City, Tennessee, died Sunday, November 5, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Watauga, Tennessee but had lived almost all of her life in the Johnson City area. She was the daughter of the late Onis Willis Scott and the late Anthon Scott. Mrs. Calhoun had been a member of Watauga Church of God. Preceding Mrs. Calhoun in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Edward Calhoun; a son, Russell Edward Calhoun; two sisters, Virginia Persinger Peters, Doris Blackburn and three brothers, Virgil Scott, Lester Scott and Wallace Scott. Surviving is one daughter, Winifred Joan Calhoun; a grandson, Kelly Cade Calhoun, a sister, Maude Stamper, all of Johnson City and one brother, Luke Scott of Jonesborough. Services for Mrs. Calhoun will be held Thursday, November 9th at 8:00 PM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Friday morning at 10:15 to go in procession to the graveside services and burial at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests, for those who wish, memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 208 Sunset Drive, Johnson City, TN 37604.
