Margaret Louise Hodges, 75, of Johnson City passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at her daughters residence.She was a native of Washington County, TN and a daughter of the late James and Bonnie Mae Rigsby Adams. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Haskiel 'Hack'? Hodges and by her second husband, Freddie A. Townsend. Mrs. Hodges was a member of Princeton Presbyterian Church but later in life she was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include; one daughter, Diane Hodges and her fiancée, Gary Guy; one son, James Hodges and his fiancée Lottie Gross and one brother, Robert Adams and his wife Juanita, all of Johnson City; numerous nieces and nephews. Two special nieces, Patsy Jenkins and Wendy Shephard. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of VFW # 2108 Johnson City for many years. Margaret loved working in her flower garden and was an Avon representative for 18 years and also did private duty sitting until retiring. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Cecil Garland and Rev. Larry Garland will officiate. Singing will be provided by Mrs. Cecil Garland. Burial will follow the services. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:45 am on Tuesday.
