Margaret McQueen Jones, 92, of 1111 Rolling Hills Drive, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Margaret was native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, daughter of the late, Samuel and Sudie Cross Dowell. She was a retired seamstress and a charter member of the East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Wayne Jones; a brother, Samuel D. McQueen; four sisters, Lena Mae Miller, Thelma Sluder, Evelyn Bowman and Joyce Hodge; a granddaughter, Cheryl Denise Counts; and a great granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Dunham. Survivors include: three daughters, Mary Ann Counts, Glenetta (& Thomas) Flynn, Keitha (& Larry) Campbell, all of Johnson City; two sons, Henry L and (& Victoria) Jones, Jr. of Warner Robbins, GA and Stegar Rutledge Jones of Johnson City; a sister, Permelia Miller of Johnson City; two brothers, Joseph G McQueen, Jonesborough and C. L. McQueen of Mims, FL, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 21, 2005 at the Morris - Baker Funeral Home, at 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Pastor Bobby Lewis and Pastor Lon Tobin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight, and at other times at her residence; 1111 Rolling Hill Drive. A committal service will be conducted on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. to leave in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Tony Jones, Buddy Vaughn, Jared Henderson, Duane Peterson, Mike Dempsey and Mike Leonard
