Margie Roberts Howell, 76, passed away Sunday, August 4th surrounded by her family, at Johnson City Medical Center.
She was born April 7th, 1943 in Piney Flats to the late Clifford and Isabell Combs Roberts.
Margie attended Princeton Elementary School, Boones Creek High School and graduated from Mary Hughes High School in 1961.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her sister, Reba Jean Cunningham and brother, Louie Roberts.
She is survived by: her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Howell; daughters, Marcie Howell and Mistie Howell; her most beloved grandson, Roderick Bowman; sisters, Sherry Sims, Yvonne Cagle, Wynona Davis and Nancy Johnson; and brother, Eddie Roberts.
Margie loved to dance and sing and always have fun. Some may remember her working at the Texas Steer Restaurant when she was in high school. She also worked at Eddie’s Record Shop, Logan and Laws, City of Johnson City, and retired from Bill Gatton Acura Mazda after many years. She also did volunteer work for Washington County School Systems.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 7 PM with Pastor Ron McEwen officiating. The committal service will be held at 10 AM Friday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Please meet at the cemetery by 9:50 AM.
