Margit C. Cummings,67, Tucson, AZ died June 30,2009 at Hospice Family Care in Tucson.Mrs. Cummings was a native of Missoula, MT, and a former resident of Boise, ID and in Johnson City, TN from 1973 until 2000 and after this in Tucson, AZ.She was a daughter of the late Gordon and Berta Boyd Castle.Mrs. Cummmings was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Cummings and one grandchild, Brendan Jake Eggers.She was a graduate of Missoula High School, earned her B.A. degree from the University of Montana and was a Counselor at Borah High School in Boise, ID.Mrs. Cummings was a member of the Johnson City Civic Choral, the Johnson City Sweet Adelines and the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce.Survivors include; one son, Michael Cummings of Melbourne, FL; one daughter, Mrs. James Eggers,Elizabethton; one sister, Lynn Allen, Thermopolis, WY and three grandchildren, Kayla Shuffler, Shawn Shuffler and Sarrah Grace Eggers all of Elizabethton. A memorial service for Mrs Cummings will be held at 12:30 Friday, July 10,2009 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Pastor Mark Potter will officiate. A committal service will be held at 10:00 pm Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tennessee Arthritis Foundation, 1719 West End Avenue, Suite 303, W., Nashville, TN 37203.
