Marguerite Elizabeth Rich

Marguerite Rich, 96, of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City. She was a native of Kerrville, TX and a daughter of the late Barthomew Schleifer and Lena Cloudt Schleifer. She was also preceded by her husband, Howard T. Rich, by three brothers and one sister. Mrs. Rich was a member of Unaka Avenue Baptist Church and was a leader in various church groups. For many years she volunteered at the Johnson City Medical Center . Survivors include; one daughter, Marilyn Rich and her husband Sidney of Salina, KS; two sons, Burt Rich and his wife, Norma of Fayettville, TN and Ted Rich and his wife Vicki of Watauga; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2012 from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Graveside services will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Paul Rich, Phil Rich, Tim Smith, Matthew Rich, Kent Hall and Jeremy Peterson. The family requests memorial contributions be made to The Gideons International, Gideons International''North Camp, P. O. Box 3695, Johnson City, TN 37602---3695. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 24, 2012
