It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Diane Hutson, who departed this earthly life on December 2, 2024, at the age of 80. Diane was born on July 24, 1944, in Bristol, Tennessee, and lived much of her life in the Johnson City area, where she touched many hearts with her warmth and unique sense of humor.
Diane's educational journey ended very early in life, but her wisdom and insight transcended formal schooling. She carried within her a deep strength shaped by her life's experiences, which innately radiated out into her connections with others. Some would say Diane was an old soul.
Her sisters Jan Boland (husband Joe) and Teresa Hutson remain, as well as several nieces and nephews. That is alongside a beautiful community of friends, who will dearly miss her presence.
Diane's life was characterized by simple joys and profound connections. She had a spirit that embraced all and an open heart that welcomed everyone she met. Her laughter, quirky rhymes, and humor brought light to even the darkest days. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Her interment will be at 10 AM December 13, 2024 at East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport, She will be laid to rest next to her mother and father. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday December 13, 2024 to celebrate the life of Diane and her legacy. It will be held at Core Services of Northeast TN, 215 University Parkway, in Johnson City. The family invites all who knew her to join in a celebration of her life, where stories and memories will be shared.
As we reflect on Diane's life, let us remember her unwavering kindness, her strong spirit, and the love she shared so abundantly. She leaves behind not just a legacy of love and laughter, but an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, dear Diane; you will be forever missed.
