Mariah Bonnie Welford, 89, of 1029 Estate Drive, Johnson City died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at her residence. She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late Andy Lee and Hettie Stockton Edwards. Mariah was a Licensed Practical Nurse, having worked most of her career with children and infants for the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Vestal Anderson; her second husband, Woodie H. Welford; two brothers, R. G. and Cecil Edwards; a sister, Geneva Edwards Crain. Survivors include: her daughter, Carolyn Anderson Riddle and her husband, Marvin E. Riddle of Jonesborough; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Earl L. and Peggy Anderson of Jonesborough and Larry K. Anderson of Lenoir City; one grandchild, Angela Anderson Cretsinger of Gray; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Mr. Byron Paddock. A committal service will be conducted at the Highland Church Cemetery with burial to follow. Active pallbearers will be: Gary L. Anderson, Keith F. Guinn, Joel Wayne Patterson, Keith Riddle, Ernest McKinney, Jr. and Scott Riddle. Honorary pallbearers will be: Charles Joey Anderson, Dean Bailey and Richard Edwards.
