Marie Gray Thomason

Marie 'Ms. Tommy'? Thomason, 85, of Johnson City, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at her home.She was born December 23, 1924 in Rich Valley, VA but had lived most of her life in Bristol, TN and Johnson City, TNOne of twelve children born to Mark and Scottie Webb.Marie worked at Cunduffs Grocery in Boones Creek, Green Valley Food Market and Zekes Market on the Bristol Hwy. For many years. She was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church.Marie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Thomasonand son in law, Mike Pierce. Survivors include; one son, David Thomason and his wife, Vickie of Jonesborough; one daughter, Janie Pierce of Johnson City; three Grandchildren, Nikki Heaton and her husband, John, Annette Dougherty and her husband Brad and Kimberly Ingle an her husband David; four Great Grandchildren, Tala, David, Savannah and Haden.Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 pm Monday, February 15, 2010 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. James Cambron will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday from Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be David Thomason, Bo Honeycutt, Lon Davis, Don Lloyd, Jim Hankal and Chuck Rutherford. Honorary pallbearers will be Dayton Pierce, John Heaton, Brad Dougherty, David Ingle and other family and friends. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:45 am Tuesday and proceed to the cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church, Building Fund, 4005 Bristol Highway, Johnson City, TN 37601.
