Marie M. Hardin

Johnson City

Marie Hardin, 89, of Johnson City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Marie was born in North Carolina into the loving home of Ed and Sarah Miller. She became a longtime resident of Johnson City, Tennessee. 

She attended Lamar High School from 1951-1954. A lifelong Baptist, Marie loved the Lord and attended several churches in the area during her life. 

Along with her parents, Marie was preceded in death by: her husband, Ifird Hardin; one son, Mike Campbell; and one daughter Ann Roark.

Those remaining to mourn her passing are: three daughters, Patty Campbell-Turner (husband Pete Turner), Susan Coomer, and Beth Hardin; and one son, George Campbell (wife Kristy – deceased). 

Marie enjoyed every moment spent with her nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank her special friend and caregiver, Wanda Johnson, for all that she did for Marie in love.

A special thanks and love to the wonderful team at Lakebridge – A Waters Community. Sam and the amazing group of nurses and CNA’s made her feel loved and cared for. We will be forever thankful to the care shown to Marie. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm on Friday, October 4, 2024, in the Hickory Room at Morris-Baker Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Monte Vista Memorial Park, under the direction of Chaplain Randall Holmes.
