Marie “Louise” (Chaisson) Clemons - 09/08/1923 - 03/07/2020
Beloved
Louise Clemons went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, March 7, at the age of 96 years and six months. Hers was a life well-lived.
She was the daughter of the late Amar Morris Chiasson/Chaisson and Esther (Estee') Marie Verret; born in Lacassine, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, M/Sgt. (ret) Eugene Clemons, medic U.S. Army Air Corps/U.S. Air Force; her sisters Frances (H.L.) Morris and Mildred (Luther) Guy; and her three brothers Clifford, Millard "Sonny", and Nelson Chaisson.
She is survived by her three sons, Dr. Donald E. (Barbara) Clemons of Johnson City, TN; William A. (Martha) Clemons of Hot Springs, AR; and Gregory S. Clemons of Hot Springs, AR; four granddaughters, two grandsons, a number of great grandchildren, and four nieces, all who loved her dearly.
Louise outlived each of her five siblings by more than 25 years and was the designated matriarch who loved and cared for her family. The lessons she taught through her gentle spirit and loving nature will be everlasting.
Her family will receive friends from 11:30-12:30 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, and begin at 12:30 pm. A committal service will be held at 2:00 pm at Mountain Home National Cemetery where she will be interred with her beloved husband. Please assemble at the cemetery gates by 1:50 pm to process to the committal shelter.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors organization or to the V.A. Hospital in Mountain Home, TN.
