Marie Mast Spoone

Mrs. Marie Mast Spoone age 86 passed away Wednesday June 26 2013 at Hospice of West Alabama with family at her bedside. She was the daughter of the late Grady J Mast and Juanita Juanoka Mast of Johnson City, Tn. During her life, Mrs. Spoone enjoyed serving the Lord through her gift of music. She served as pianist/organist for churches from the time she could sit on the bench and reach the pedals until these last few years of life. She most enjoyed teaching and felt honored to have touched thousands of lives sharing the joy of music and love of her Heavenly Father. She is survived by her husband, James H Spoone; children, Pamela Daniel, Stephen Spoone and Dr. Robin Barton; and grandchildren, Julia Marie Barton and Sara Randal Barton. There will be a private burial at Monte Vista Memorial Park in Johnson City, TN. June 29, 2013, at 10 AM. A memorial service will be held July 14, 2013, at 2 PM in the chapel at the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscaloosa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of West Alabama or your favorite charity.
