Marie Clark Williams, 89, of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, April 19 th, 2024, at Lakebridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Marie was born September 4 th, 1935, to the late Earl and Maude Clark in Buladean, North Carolina.

Marie worked at Blankenship Pharmacy and Appalachian Christian Village where she eventually retired. She loved working in her flowers and sitting in her porch swing watching the hummingbirds. Marie was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Marie was a kind soul who never met a stranger and never lost that precious smile or sweet spirit, even during her illness.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Williams, one daughter, Renee Hyder, several brothers, and one sister.

Those surviving include: grandchildren, Elijah Hyder and wife Charli, Hannah Hyder, and Ethan Hyder; sister-in-law Linda Sweeney and husband Bob of International Falls, MN.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 23 rd , 2024, at Fairview Cemetery, 878 TN-81, Jonesborough, TN 37659, with minister Billy Murphy officiating. Pallbearers include: Elijah Hyder, Ethan Hyder, Joe Hyder, Brandon Townsend, Andrew Masters, and Shannon Cox. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Blankenship and Jeff Townsend.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Lakebridge for the care and kindness shown to Marie.
