Mark Danoff, 65, of Johnson City TN, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
Mark is warmly remembered by his nephews for taking great care of them on visits to Johnson City throughout the last four decades. Whether it was installing video games on the desktop computer in the 90s, showing them his CB radio used to communicate with other enthusiasts across the USA in the aughts, or walking them through his "fruit farm" in the yard during the 2010s, he always took the time to make them feel special and included. He taught his nephews kindness and handling responsibility for other lives with the care he showed his cats. He has been and continues to be a role model for his 40-year-old nephew since he became an Uncle himself.
Mark will be also missed by his sister & brother-in-law Leslie & Danny Elkins. He loved motorcycles early in his life but then realized that was a young person's hobby!! So, he switched to making wine. He grew his own grapes and plums!! He loved to share the results of his hard work with neighbors and friends. He then segued into cooking. His favorite recipe was 7-can soup but he also tried to reproduce entrees he had eaten at local restaurants. In his opinion, he frequently thought his version was better!!
Finally, he loved nothing more than calling, texting, and emailing with family, friends and neighbors. On behalf of Mark, I thank you all for your kindness through the years.
