Mary A. Herceg, 90, Jonesborough, died July 9. 2007, at the Quillen Rehab Center. Mrs. Herceg was a Bell, PA. native, a former resident of Weirton, WVA and had lived in Jonesborough for several years. She was a daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Babincek Pavlik. Mrs. Herceg was preceded in death by two husbands, Nelo Herman Saxberg and Henry Herceg, two sisters, Ann May and Peggy Marino, two brothers, Steve Pavlik and Alex Pavlik, one son-in-law, James Roy Ford and her stepmother, Mary Yarusinsky Pavlik. She was retired from Weir High School, Weirton, WVA. Mrs. Herceg was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter, Doris Saxberg Ford, Jonesborough; two grandsons, Jeffrey Vernon Ford and his wife, Judith, Cary, NC and Henry Aaron Ford and his wife, Kara, Paducah, KY; four great grandchildren, Drew, Alex, Matt and Kelsey Ford; two step grandchildren, Sydne and Jordan Skipworth; two brothers, Joseph Pavlik, Fallston, MD and John Pavlik, Follansbee, WVA; one sister, Helen Rogowski, Colliers, WVA and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday, July 12, 2007 at St. Marys Catholic Church. Father Gerard Finucane will be the celebrant. Graveside services and burial will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11AM Thursday at the church. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Marys Catholic Church, 2211 E. Lakeview Drive, Johnson City, TN 37601 or Boone Trail Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1985 Carroll Creek Road, Johnson City, TN 37615.
