Mary Agnes Graham

Mary Carter Graham, 87, formerly of 1104 Estate Drive, Johnson City, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the Broadmore Assisted Living at Johnson City. She was a native of Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Ira Hugh and Florence Mable Mitchell Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Gaham. Mary was a homemaker, but had also been a teacher in the Ashtabula County School system, Ohio, a Sunday School teacher and girl scout leader. She was a graduate of Maryville College and had attended the Columbia School of Library Science. Mary was a member of the Bethel United Church of Christ in Arlington, Virginia. She had a giving nature and made many friends in her former neighborhood and at Broadmore. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and James J. Fox of Johnson City, Janet Graham and Saffon Andolsun of Manassas, Virginia; a brother, Ted Carter of Poland, Ohio; four grandchildren and two grandchildren-in-law, Sean and Jessica Fox, Kerry and Jeremy Garland, Kurt Andolsun and Basla Andolsun. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2008 in the Living Room at the Broadmore Assisted Living of Johnson City, at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Mike Garland. The family will receive friends at Morris '' Baker Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Mary is to be cremated and will be buried with her husband in the Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Virginia at a later date.
