Mary Alice Humphreys

Mary Alice Humphreys, 80, formerly of Johnson City and presently living with a daughter in Huntersville, North Carolina died Sunday, November 20, 2005 in the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. Mrs. Humphreys was a native of Piney Flats, TN, and was a daughter of the late Lester and Lulu Wooten Graybeal. Mrs. Humphreys was a former salesperson at Parks-Belk in Johnson City and was a member of the Lynnwood Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Lonnie Humphreys in 2003. Survivors include one son, James T. Thompson Jr. of Alamogordo, New Mexico; two daughters Patricia Taylor of Richboro, PA and Peggy Lyons of Huntersville, NC; one sister, Elizabeth Jones of Johnson City. Five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mary Alice Humphreys will be conducted at 9 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2005, in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Mr. Gordon Miller, Minister, will officiate and Pat Taylor will present the Eulogy. Interment will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery at 10 AM.
