Mary Elizabeth Betty Swink

Mary Elizabeth ?Betty' Greene Swink, 81, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 in Gray. Betty was a native of Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Ronald Earl and Danford Walker Greene. Betty was a member of Piney Flats Baptist Church. She worked as a school teacher in the Kingsport City Schools for 14 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis M. Swink, and two sisters, Peggy Greene and Diane Rutledge. She is survived by: her daughter, Robin Ledford; granddaughter, Ashlee Elizabeth Simerly, and her husband Adam, of Clarksville; sister, JoAnn Huff; nephew, Jeremy Rutledge, his wife Susie, and daughter Emma; cousin, Helen Shuttle, and her daughter Lisa Shuttle; and special friends, Randy and Leah Knotts. The family of Betty Swink will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Following the visitation, family and friends will proceed to Monte Vista Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel for a 3 pm service. Rev. Allen Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
