Mary G. Everhart, 79, of 1009 Grace Drive, Johnson City died Monday, January 25, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Everhart was a native of Hendersonville, NC and had lived in Johnson City for many years. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Nystrom Gillespie. Mrs. Everhart was a retired office manager in a local textile plant. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church serving as the Financial Secretary for many years, and as a coordinator in the Food Pantry. She also volunteered at NHC Healthcare in the Recreation Department, Interfaith Hospitality Network, the American Red Cross and was a special caretaker for Virginia Plyler at NHC Healthcare. Survivors include: her husband, Richard H. Everhart of the home; a God-Daughter Sierra Brown Street and her husband Adam of Johnson City; special family Valerie and Billy Brown of Jonesborough; a brother Frank Gillespie and wife Eva of Horseshoe, NC; two sisters Marjorie Rector of Asheville, NC and Martha Gillespie of Hendersonville,NC; a brother-in-law Wallace Everhart of Asheville, NC; one niece Mary Ann Guthrie of Horseshoe, NC; two nephews, Phil Gillespie and wife Patty of Horseshoe, NC and William Gillespie and wife Maria of Horseshoe, NC; great nephew and great nieces, Joey, Jessica, and Misty Dawn Guthrie of Horseshoe, NC. The family of Mary G. Everhart will receive friends in the Morris-Baker North Chapel from 6 to 7:30 PM Thursday, January 28, 2010. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:30 PM in the North Chapel. Rev. Jim Nipper will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to Our Savior Lutheran Church, P.O.
