Mary Gladys Rose

Mary ?Gladys' Wise Rose, 95, Johnson City, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She is a Johnson City native and daughter of the late Dewey Lee and Oma Della Jarrett Wise. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by: her husband of almost 50 years, James Rose; one daughter, Donna Marie Maloney; one sister, Mildred Wise Frye; and one brother, Ray Wise. Left to cherish her memory: one brother, William H. Wise; four grandchildren, Janice Marie Maloney, Amy Lynn DeFew, Shane Michael Maloney, and Teri Jo Holeman; nine great grandchildren, Chelsea Cooper, and her husband John, Christin Layne Meeks, Carli Denise Meeks, Gabe DeFew, Ella DeFew, Isac DeFew, John Silas DeFew, Canton James Layne Maloney, and Savannah Marie Holeman; one great great grandchild, Addison Cooper; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family of Gladys will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2015 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers will be: grandsons and nephews. The procession to Mountain Home National Cemetery will leave following the visitation at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tennessee School for the Blind 115 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN 37214.
