Mary E. Haren (Tip), 82, joined her loved ones in heaven after an extended illness. She passed away at home on September 14, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jasper, Tennessee, she lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Mollie Collins. She graduated from East Tennessee State University as a registered nurse and retired from North Side Hospital. Mary?s passion for taking care of others continued throughout her life. Family, neighbors and friends called on her when they were in need. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed working with flowers and plants around her house. During good weather, you could often find her taking in the scenery from her front porch. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Haren; granddaughter, Star Haren; and sisters, Mildred Ingram and Aileen Clark. She leaves a large family behind to treasure her journey of love: daughters, Kathi and Ken Watkins (Jonesborough); Gina and Gerry Musciano (Clearwater, FL); son, Brad and Angela Haren (Johnson City); daughter/granddaughter Nakeisha Haren (Johnson City); six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Crawford (Johnson City); several nieces and nephews; and a long-time friend, Penny Livingston. The family of Mary Haren will receive friends on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service led by Minister Jerry Sayre and Deacon JC Byas will follow at 7:00 PM in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. A committal service will be held at 9:30 AM on Monday, September 17, 2018, at Oak Hill Baptist Church on TN-81, Jonesborough. Family and friends are asked to gather at the graveside by 9:20 AM. Pallbearers will be Billy Haren, Anthony Musciano, Cole Wilson, Jim Smail, Matt Pate, and Robby England.
