Mary Ilalie Huff Lee Atchley

Mary Ilalie (Lee) Huff Atchley passed away at Johnson City Medical Center on Friday, October 16, 2015. She was born on December 28, 1935 in Cocke County, TN. She moved to the Johnson City area during childhood, and attended Boones Creek School. She remained in Johnson City throughout her life. She retired from Texas Instruments several years ago, and spent her retirement enjoying her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She was a member of Stoney Creek Church of Christ, and she loved her church family. Mrs. Atchley?s life was centered on her family. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, Pete, of 61 years, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a great cook, and loved hosting holiday and family gatherings. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Huff; brothers, Frank and Donald Huff; and her sisters, Sarah Owens and Rachel Huff. She is survived by her loving husband, Herbert (Pete) Atchley; daughters, Paula Atchley Hylton (husband Keith), and Gloria Atchley Mathes (husband Randy); grandchildren Adam Hylton, Tabitha Hylton Justice (husband Carl), Rachel Hylton Lewis (husband John), Randy Mathes II, and Jennifer Mathes Smith (husband Herbert); great grandchildren, Alexander Hylton, Katelyn Justice, Kamden and Kyler Lewis, Celeste and Dakota Mathes, Serenity Surber, Abby and Noah Smith; her siblings, Minnie Fish, Della Collins, and Steven Huff; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Mary Ilalie Atchley will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, October 19, 2015 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Tuesday to go in procession to Monte Vista Memorial Park for 11:00 AM graveside services.
