Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day?and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Mary Louise Price Tilson, 85, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Tilson was a native of Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Roy and Myrtle Lance Price. Mary had been a member of Grace Baptist Church since 1977. She retired from the Mountain Home VA Hospital, where she was a surgical pack maker, after 30 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ella Dove and Linda Widener. Survivors include her husband, Arney Eugene Tilson; one daughter, Teresa Buckingham of Johnson City; one son, John (Sandra) Thomas of Jonesborough; two brothers, Glen (Betty) and Ray Gene Price of Jonesborough; one sister, Kathleen Babb of Dandridge, TN; two grandchildren, Angela (Bobby) Smith and Amy Thomas of Jonesborough; two great grandchildren, Ashley and Brian Smith of Jonesborough; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Mary Tilson will receive friends from 2 pm to 4 pm Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church, 612 Collins Dr., Johnson City. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm Sunday under the direction of Rev. Bryan Smith and Rev. Harold McNabb. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Grace Baptist Church.
