Mary Mae Brooks

Mary Mae Brooks, 79, of 605 Shadden Road, Gray, died Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Shelby, Ohio, daughter of the late Glenn Ollice and Dorothy Doris Dunn Weaver. Mary was employed as a cook at the Sulphur Springs Community Childcare since 1999. She was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William G. Brooks in 1984, and brothers, Walter and Kenneth Weaver. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Janet Brooks of Jonesborough; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and John Crowl of Toledo, Ohio; grandson, Cody Brooks of Jonesborough; granddaughters, Chloe and Caylen Crowl of Toledo, Ohio; a niece and nephew. A memorial service is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at Sulpher Springs United Methodist Church, under the direction of Rev. Jeffrey Moncier and Dr. George Odle. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. Burial will follow at a later date in the Rivercliff Cemetery, Mt. Gilead, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests, memorials to: Sulphur Springs Community Child Care, 1432 Gray Station - Sulphur Springs Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
