Mary Ruth Kilby

Mrs. Mary Ruth Kilby, 86, 793 Austin Springs Road, Piney Flats died Thursday June 18, 2009 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Kilby was a native of Boise, Idaho who had lived most of her life in Sacramento, California and Piney Flats. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Hodge Scoonover. Mrs. Kilby was a homemaker and a member of the East Unaka Christian Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Virginia Ruth Ogden of Blountville; two grandchildren, Robyn Ogden and Michael Ogden both of Blountville; cousins, Joyce Atcheley, Mary Stewart, Tom Hodge and John Somich and his wife Michele; several other cousins. The funeral service for Mrs. Kilby will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday June 21, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Daniel Stiltner will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 1 to 2 PM Sunday prior to the service.
