Maude Dickenson, 87, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Appalachian Christian Village. Ms. Dickenson was a Big Stone Gap, VA native and daughter to the late Ralph and Mary Roberts Dickenson. Ms. Dickenson worked in office management of Park Avenue Hospital of Norton, VA and was an assistant at Norton Community Hospital. She attended Princeton Presbyterian Church. Ms. Dickenson enjoyed ballroom dancing and her garden club. Survivors include: one brother, Carl Dickenson, and his wife Bobbie, of Johnson City; two sisters, Mable Willingham of Johnson City, and Sybil, and her husband Bill Elkins, of Lynchburg, VA; two nieces and four nephews. The family of Maude Dickenson will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM with Chaplain Jeff McNabb officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Glencoe Cemetery of Big Stone Gap, VA on Monday, September 21, 2015 for 11:00 AM graveside services.
