Maureen Elizabeth Sievers, 72, 120 Leedham Lane, Johnson City, died Thursday, August 28, 2008 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Sievers was a native of Queens, New York who had lived in Johnson City for the past twenty years. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Irene Winnet Hanrahan. In addition to her parents two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. Mrs. Sievers was a homemaker and a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. Survivors include: her husband, Henry 'Hank'? Sievers of the home; four daughters, Maureen Downey and her husband John of Margaretville, New York, Louise Andrieszyn and her husband Jerry of Johnson City, Ann Coffey and her husband Robert of Erwin and Kathleen Tucker of Arizona; one brother, Matthew Hanrahan of New Jersey; five grandchildren, John Downey of New York, Christie Ann Downey of New York, Jennifer Peoples of Erwin, Bryce Tucker of Arizona and Claire Tucker of Arizona; one great grandchild, Eric Peoples of Erwin. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tn 38105 and St. Marys Catholic Church, 2211 East Lakeview Drive, Johnson City, Tn 37601. The Word service for Maureen Elizabeth Sievers will be conducted at 12 noon Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Father Mike Cummins will officiate. The committal service will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 11 AM to 12 noon prior to the service.
