Melvin Harold Kleineick

June 6, 1930 — May 29, 2009

Mr. Melvin Kleineick, 78, of Jonesborough passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, May 29, 2009. Melvin was a longtime resident of Lee County, VA and moved to Johnson City area fifteen years ago. He was retired and enjoyed spending his time flea marketing, making candles, playing with his dog 'A.J.'? and being with his friends and family whom he loved dearly. He also loved helping and fixing things for anyone who needed him. He is survived by his daughter, Melva Kleineick and Betsy Crabtree , who he loved like a daughter of Johnson City; two sisters, Mary Ann King and husband Chad of Pennington Gap, VA, Lois McElroy of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Dwayne Kleineick of North Carolina; a special niece, Debbie and children and nephew Pat; special friends he loved like family, Linda Kelly and son Mark, Joyce and Ronnie Graham, Dan and Vicki Grizzle, Betty Woliver, Dale Livesay and Dustin Fuller. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Earl and Wayne. The family would like to thank the Jonesborough Police Dept, the Washington County Sheriffs Dept and the Washington County EMS. The graveside service for Mr. Melvin Kleineick will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Pastor Dan Grizzle will officiate. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:55 PM Tuesday.
