Michael D. 'Mike' Rose, 55, of 701 Brookfield Drive, Johnson City died Sunday, February 4, 2007 in the North Side Hospital. Mike was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was the son of Eileen Kilby Rose of Johnson City and the late Melvin D. Rose. Mike was of the Methodist faith and a client at Dawn of Hope. Survivors other then his mother are: four sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and David Harwood and Kathy and Bill Hughes all of Jonesborough, Dean and Ken Neal of Limestone and Amy and Alphonzo Gillespie of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Michael D. 'Mike' Rose will be conducted Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 8 PM in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Teahun Woon will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 AM Wednesday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 11:20 AM for the service. Active pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacky Divor, the Staff and Clients of the Dawn of Hope, and the Washington County Community Residential Services. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday prior to the service. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Diane Cobble and the Nursing Staff at Mountain States Health Alliance.
